Western Red Cedar is a highly versatile and naturally beautiful softwood species known for its distinct reddish-brown heartwood and grayish-red sapwood. Over time, the wood’s rich mahogany color becomes deeper and more intense, making it a visually stunning choice for outdoor applications.
Despite being a softwood, Western Red Cedar is highly resistant to fungi, insects, and natural decay, making it an excellent choice for outdoor projects. It has low shrinkage and retains its shape well.
