What Defines Solid Hardwood Flooring

Our solid oak planks are produced from one continuous piece of wood. Because they are not layered or engineered they offer the full depth of natural materiality – the grain, the tone, the variations and the living surface that responds gently to time. Each plank carries its own pattern and expression, making every installation unique.
This type of hardwood flooring is well known for its longevity. With the right care a solid floor can last a lifetime, and more. It can be sanded and refreshed several times which extends its lifespan and allows the surface to evolve as the home changes.

We work exclusively with oak because of its strength and stable behaviour. The wood has a warm, calm appearance that sits comfortably within both modern and traditional spaces. Our solid floors are available in different grades — from a more refined and quiet selection to a natural look with knots and movement.
Every plank is finished with oil to preserve the raw surface feel and highlight the authentic colour of the wood. The result is a floor that feels warm, tactile and naturally elegant.

Wide Planks and Classic Formats

Solid hardwood flooring at Fredsted Studio is offered in generous plank widths and classic formats. Wide planks create a seamless, continuous foundation that emphasises the beauty of the wood. For more traditional layouts we also supply herringbone and other parquet patterns which add a timeless architectural rhythm.
All planks are delivered in mixed or full lengths wherever possible, ensuring a calm and harmonious installation.
