The main purpose of the project was to gather Global Timber and Fredsted Studio as one while keeping the independencies between them. They are placed in two separated buildings but are met in a displaced cross as an intersection point whereas the joint facilities are placed in the middle as a shared space.
Each building has its own expression on the facades. While Global Timber is covered in wood from own import, Fredsted Studio is an open and transparent space with a showroom.
For the first time Global Timber has the warehouse, sales and administration at the same address. It is something that they have strived for in a long time, to gather people under the same roof, supporting each other in all functions.
The new administration building contains 1470 m2 – spread out on 1109 m2 of new built and 381 m2 of renovated construction including office, joint facilities and showroom.
Global Timber now unites its warehouse, sales, and administration under one roof, a long-held goal to support all functions cohesively.
