Just outside Aarhus, a historic home has been respectfully transformed by its owner. A renovation carried out with care, design intent, and a deep respect for the building’s original character. The result is a warm and personal family home, where history meets contemporary materiality. Throughout the process, we contributed with material supply and aesthetic guidance.
On the ground floor, our Florencina natural stone tiles in 80×80 cm set the tone. With their brushed, leather-like surface, they add depth and tactility underfoot. The stone continues into the bathroom on floors and shower walls, where a custom Travertine Rapolano sink was crafted by our stonemasons to integrate seamlessly with the interior.
Ascending the sculptural staircase, the first floor unfolds in wide Solid Top oak planks, running elegantly across every room. The warm surface treatment ensures continuity and understated refinement throughout the living spaces.
The master bathroom is realised in a lighter, more serene atmosphere with Travertine Rapolano, cross-cut on the floors and vein-cut on the walls. To complete the room, our stonemasons created a vanity top in the same stone, featuring split-face edges that bring a refined yet organic character to the space.
