Born and raised in Chicago, Michael Del Piero began her professional life as a business coach, advising Fortune 500 executives on leadership and growth.
At the same time, she cultivated a passion for antiques, art, and design, spending years exploring auction houses, flea markets, and European markets in search of distinctive objects.
What started as collecting soon evolved into curating full interiors. Through staged biannual sales in different homes, Del Piero demonstrated not only an instinct for sourcing exceptional pieces, but a remarkable ability to compose them into layered, harmonious spaces. When a client asked her to design an entire residence, the project’s success led naturally to the founding of her studio in 2007.
Since then, Del Piero’s practice has grown in both scale and scope, moving fluidly from interiors into architecture. Whether designing new-build homes, restoring historic properties, or transforming city apartments, her work consistently balances refinement with rusticity, sophistication with ease, creating spaces that feel elegant, personal, and inviting.
